In today's competitive work environment, our greatest untapped resource may be our own motivation.
Motivation is one of the driving forces behind human behavior. It fuels competition and sparks social connection. Its absence can lead to mental illnesses such as depression. Motivation encompasses the desire to continue striving toward meaning, purpose, and a life worth living.
Moreover staying motivated is all about how much are we are happy in life...
Remember those days in childhood when filling a piggy bank makes us happy?
Or wearing the new clothes makes you feel like a president of nation...lol
How to stay motivated wasn’t a question in our mind at our childhood then why, today?
The best way to explain motivation is to show what it looks like in everyday life. Here is an example of possible motivational reasons a person could have to engage in exercise.
Reasons to Exercise | Type of Motivation | Real-Life Examples |
Fun, enjoyment | Intrinsic motivation | Children run, jump, and chase
simply for the sheer fun of it. |
Personal challenge | Flow | Performers get “in the zone” when
their pursuits optimally challenge their skills. |
Forced to do so | External regulation | Athletes exercise because their
coach tells them to do so. |
Accomplish a goal | Goal | Runners strive to run a mile in
six minutes or less. |
Health benefits | Value | Patients exercise to lose weight
or to strengthen the heart. |
Inspiration | Possible self | People watch others exercise and become
inspired to do the same. |
Pursuit of a standard of
excellence | Achievement strivings | Snow skiers race to the bottom of
the mountain, trying to beat their previous best time. |
Satisfaction from a job well done | Competence | As exercisers make progress, they
feel more competent, more effective. |
An emotional kick | Opponent process | Vigorous jogging can produce a
runner’s high, a euphoric rebound to the pain. |
Good mood | Positive affect | Being in nature can induce a good
mood such that people exercise spontaneously, skipping along without even
knowing why. |
Alleviate guilt | Introjection | People exercise because they think
that is what they should or ought to do to please others or to relieve their
sense of guilt. |
Relieve stress and anxiety | Personal control | After a stressful day, people go
to the gym, which they see as a structured and controllable environment. |
Spend time with friends | Relatedness | Exercise is often a social event,
a time to enjoy hanging out with friends. |
We can get motivated for a day or for a while with a story, song, video but it would definitely not stay for a long time. So What?
As said by Zig Ziglar “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well neither does bathing – That’s why we recommend it daily”
Being happy or staying happy will build your confidence high. In the mind when we are happy the mind release dopamine which build a strong feeling of confidence, energetic and we feel restless. It increases our concentration skills and makes our mind stir for a longer period.

The best advice I would give you to stay motivated is to write a dairy.
Dairy writing improve your thoughts and give a wider and clearer image of what you exactly want in life , this will give you a clearer vision to find the patch(hole) on you and improve that into an opportunity. In fact when you will write about your complaints in dairy you will realize these are really not very big.
Try to sleep early and wake up early . It will make you a winner in your own eyes. And that morning Fresh air which will make your sensors activated so you can coordinate well with your mind.
And avoid stress and fights in your life.
Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. It is what causes you to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. Motivation involves the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive forces that activate behavior.
Understanding motivation can:
- Help improve the efficiency of people as they work toward goals
- Help people take action
- Encourage people to engage in health-oriented behaviors
- Help people avoid unhealthy or maladaptive behaviors such as risk-taking and addiction
- Help people feel more in control of their lives
- Improve overall well-being and happiness
Everyone is motivated by different things. Understanding what motivates you can make the difference between success and failure
But what happens when you can't find your motivation or you can't stay motivated long enough to finish a project or even keep up with daily tasks? It’s will lead you to a mental illness or depression.
Depression occurs when things what you plan don’t run out accordingly to your way or things what matters for you don't matter for others whom you think they are your friend.
(Reminder - Not everyone you meet in lifespan will be your good friend forever)
Don't be a people pleaser (i.e. who do every sort of things to make people happy) . Remember at your life time you will stay closed to only 2% of people you met in your life time.
Try to say no for the things they told you to do, if you are not satisfied with their thoughts or ideas. Don't say yes, if you want to pleased them. People will use you for your good deeds and don't be their punching bag. Most of the people we met in life are goona disappeared in next 3-5 years so why to pleas them.
Do things that matters for you, things that give you real happiness. Try to find happiness in your own life, invent things which make you happy in your life or find interests which kick you out of loneliness, make time to enjoy and try to make yourself busy. It will make you confident enough and you will feel fresh and boosted to do every task in your life.
Stay motivated is just by Trying to make small goals not big dreams because small- small things makes a larger memories in life. Have a positive aura around yourself never doubt your capabilities. It’s the works of jobless peoples.
Anything can be achieved with hard work, confidence and nothing can be achieved with self doubt.
